Brian Keenan

Brian Keenan is a British author and former hostage who was kidnapped by Islamic extremists in Beirut in 1986. He was held captive for 6 years and 9 months, during which time he was subjected to physical and psychological torture. Keenan was released in 1990 and has since written several books about his experiences, including a memoir titled 'A Year in the Life of a Blind Man'. He has become a prominent advocate for human rights and has worked with various organizations to support victims of terrorism. Keenan has also been a vocal critic of the British government's handling of the hostage crisis and has called for greater transparency and accountability. He is currently a writer and speaker, and has given numerous talks and lectures about his experiences.
