Polish short story writer and artist
Bruno Schulz was a Polish short story writer and artist born in 1892 in Drohobycz, Poland. He is best known for his surreal and fantastical short stories, which often explored the intersection of literature and politics. Schulz's work was heavily influenced by his experiences growing up in a Jewish community in Poland during World War I. He is considered one of the most important Polish writers of the 20th century and has been translated into many languages. Schulz died in 1942 at the age of 50.
