Buford T. Pusser

Buford T. Pusser was a sheriff in McNairy County, Tennessee, from 1964 until his death in 1974. He was known for his efforts to clean up corruption in the county and his advocacy for law enforcement reform. Pusser was also a writer and published several books on law enforcement and true crime. He was a popular figure in the 1960s and 1970s, and his story has been the subject of several films and documentaries.
