Butch O'Hare was an American naval aviator who served in the United States Navy during World War II. He is best known for being the Navy's first fighter ace of the war and the first naval aviator to receive the Medal of Honor. O'Hare was born on March 13, 1914, and died on November 26, 1943, in action over the Pacific Theater. He is remembered as a hero and a symbol of American bravery and sacrifice.
