Theologian and Pastor
C. F. W. Walther was a Lutheran pastor and theologian who was born in 1811 in Germany. He came to the United States in 1838 and later became a prominent figure in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Walther was a strong advocate for the importance of education and the role of the church in society. He is remembered for his work in establishing the LCMS and his contributions to Lutheran theology.
