Author and historian
C. W. Ceram was a British author and historian who wrote extensively on ancient history and archaeology. He is best known for his book 'The Twelve Caesars', which is a translation of Suetonius' work on the Roman emperors. Ceram was a professor of archaeology at the University of London and was known for his expertise on ancient Near Eastern history. He was also a popular writer and lecturer, and wrote several books on archaeology and history. Ceram was born in 1901 and died in 1973.
