Cal Fire Chief Mark Forbush

Mark Forbush is a firefighter and emergency management official who has served as the Chief of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire) since 2018. He has over 30 years of experience in firefighting and emergency management and has served in a variety of roles, including as a battalion chief and as a member of the California State Board of Forestry. Forbush has been a vocal advocate for wildfire prevention and mitigation and has worked to improve the response to wildfires in California.
