Catherine Laga'aia is a Samoan actress. She was born on October 28, 1984, in Apia, Samoa. Laga'aia began her acting career in Samoa before moving to New Zealand to pursue a career in film. She has appeared in several New Zealand films and television shows, including the popular series Outrageous Fortune. She was cast as the lead in the Disney live-action remake of Moana, opposite Dwayne Johnson.
