Cecilia Payne-Gaposchkin

Cecilia Payne-Gaposchkin was a British-American astronomer and astrophysicist who made groundbreaking contributions to our understanding of the universe. Born in 1900 in London, England, Payne-Gaposchkin was one of the first women to earn a Ph.D. in astronomy from Harvard University.
