Father of the Computer
Charles Babbage was an English mathematician, philosopher, and inventor. He is best known for designing the first mechanical computer, the Difference Engine, and the first mechanical calculator, the Analytical Engine. Babbage's work laid the foundation for modern computer science. He was a pioneer in the field of computer science and is considered one of the most important figures in the history of computing. Babbage was born on December 26, 1791, in London, England, and died on October 18, 1871.
