Charles Keating

Charles Keating is an American businessman and financier who was convicted of securities fraud and racketeering. He was the founder and chairman of Lincoln Savings and Loan, which collapsed in the 1980s, causing billions of dollars in losses to taxpayers. Keating was also a major donor to Republican politicians, including Senator John McCain. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison and served 7 years before being released. Keating has written several books on finance and politics.
