Lawman and writer
Charles Siringo was an American lawman, detective, and writer. He worked as a Pinkerton agent and later became a private investigator. Siringo wrote several books about his experiences, including "A Thousand Men and Their Deeds". He was also a vocal advocate for law enforcement reform. Siringo was born in 1855 in Iowa and died in 1928 in New York. He is best known for his work as a lawman and his writings about the American West.
