Black Aviator
Chauncey Spencer was a Black aviator who made history in 1939 by flying a fragile biplane from Chicago to Washington, D.C. to advocate for Black representation among military pilots. Spencer was a pioneering figure in the history of aviation and paved the way for future generations of Black pilots. He is remembered as a trailblazer and a hero in the African American community.
