Italian-American chef and food entrepreneur
Ettore Boiardi was an Italian-American chef, restaurateur, and food entrepreneur. Born in 1897 in Piacenza, Italy, he immigrated to the United States in 1914. He worked in various restaurants and hotels before opening his own restaurant, the Italian Village, in Cleveland, Ohio. He later opened the famous Chef Boyardee brand, which became a staple in American cuisine. He was known for his creative and innovative approach to Italian-American cuisine. He passed away in 1985.
