Chiang Kai-shek

Chiang Kai-shek was a Chinese politician and military leader who served as the leader of the Nationalist Party and the President of the Republic of China. He was born on October 31, 1887, in Xikou, Zhejiang, China. Chiang was a key figure in the Chinese Civil War and the Second Sino-Japanese War. He is also known for his authoritarian rule and his efforts to modernize China. Chiang died on April 5, 1975, in Taipei, Taiwan.
