Christiaan Huygens

Christiaan Huygens was a Dutch mathematician, physicist, and astronomer. He is best known for his work on the study of the solar system and the discovery of the planet Saturn. Huygens was a pioneer in the field of optics and made significant contributions to the development of the telescope. He was a member of the Royal Society and was elected as a fellow in 1666. Huygens was born in The Hague, Netherlands, and died in London, England.
