Claude Chabrol

Claude Chabrol was a French film director and screenwriter known for his work in the French New Wave movement. Born in Paris, France, Chabrol earned a degree in law and began his career in film as a screenwriter. He went on to direct over 50 films, including the critically acclaimed Shoah. Chabrol was known for his ability to balance humor and horror in his films, and was a pioneer of the French New Wave movement. He passed away in 2010.
