Clement Hurd was an American illustrator and author of children's books. He is best known for his work on 'Goodnight Moon' and 'The Runaway Bunny', which he illustrated with Margaret Wise Brown. Hurd's illustrations have been widely praised for their simplicity and elegance, and he is considered one of the most influential children's book illustrators of the 20th century.
