Colin Woodard

Colin Woodard is an American author, historian, journalist, and director of Nationhood Lab at Salve Regina University's Pell Center for International Relations and Public Policy. He has written extensively on American history, politics, and culture. Woodard's book, Nations Apart: How Clashing Regional Cultures Shattered America, explores the idea that the United States is not a single, unified nation, but rather a collection of distinct regional cultures. He has also written for various publications, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Atlantic.
