Colonel De Beers

Colonel Cecil Rhodes de Beers was a South African businessman and diamond magnate. He was the CEO of De Beers from 1911 to 1930 and played a significant role in the development of the diamond industry. De Beers is known for his innovative marketing strategies and his ability to shape public perception. He was also a vocal advocate for colonialism and has been criticized for his role in the exploitation of diamond mining in Africa. De Beers died in 1964.
