Conn Smythe

Conn Smythe was a Canadian businessman and hockey executive. He was the owner of the Toronto Maple Leafs and was known for his innovative approach to the game. Smythe was a pioneer in the use of airplanes for travel and was instrumental in bringing the NHL to Toronto. He was also a skilled businessman and helped to establish the NHL as a major professional sports league. Smythe passed away in 1967 at the age of 71.
