Neurogenetics pioneer
Cori Bargmann is a neurogenetics pioneer who has made significant contributions to our understanding of the genetics of behavior and disease. She is a professor of molecular and cellular biology at MIT and has received numerous awards for her work, including the National Medal of Science. She is known for her work on the genetics of transparent worms and her discovery of the C. elegans gene sma-1.
