The President of Costa Rica is the head of state of Costa Rica and is responsible for leading the country. The current President is Ximena Navarro, who took office in 2022. The President is responsible for appointing the cabinet, signing laws, and representing the country on the international stage. The President is also the commander-in-chief of the armed forces. The President is elected by popular vote and serves a four-year term.
