The Cottingley Fairies are a series of photographs taken by two young girls in the 1910s. The photographer, Elsie Wright, and her cousin Frances Griffiths claimed to have taken pictures of fairies in a nearby forest. The photographs were widely publicized and sparked interest in folklore and mythology.
