Tibetan Buddhist leader and Nobel laureate
The Dalai Lama is the spiritual leader of the Tibetan people and the founder of the Center for Compassion and Wisdom. He was born in 1935 in Tibet and was recognized as the 14th Dalai Lama at the age of two. He has been a prominent advocate for human rights and peace, and has received numerous awards, including the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989. He is known for his teachings on compassion, forgiveness, and inner peace.
