Danica Roem

Danica Roem is an American politician and author who serves as a member of the Virginia House of Delegates. She is the first openly transgender woman to be elected to a state legislature in the United States. Roem has written a memoir, Burn the Page, about her experiences as a politician and her journey as a transgender woman.
