Daphne A. Brooks

Daphne A. Brooks is a professor of African American Studies and Music at Yale University. She is a leading expert on Black women in music and has written extensively on the subject. Brooks' research focuses on the intersection of music, culture, and social justice, and she has developed a number of innovative approaches to understanding the role of music in shaping social and cultural change. She is the author of several books, including Liner Notes for the Revolution: The Intellectual Life of Black Feminist Sound.
