David Carlson

David Carlson is a historian and author who has written extensively on the history of the Confederacy and the American South. He is the author of several books, including Congress of States: Proceedings of the Provisional Congress of the Confederate States of America. Carlson has taught at several institutions, including the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of South Carolina. He is a fellow of the Southern Historical Association and has written for various publications, including The Journal of Southern History and The Civil War Book Review. Carlson is also a popular speaker and has given talks at conferences and events across the country.
