David Edgar

David Edgar is a British playwright and theatre director. He was born in 1947 in Birmingham, England. Edgar studied at the University of Birmingham and later at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. He began his career as a playwright in the 1970s and has since written numerous plays, including the award-winning 'Destiny'. Edgar has also directed several plays and has worked with various theatre companies. He is known for his work on British politics and society. Edgar has been recognized with several awards for his work, including an MBE in 2001. He is also a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
