Deputy Managing Director, International Monetary Fund
David Lipton is an American economist and banker. He is the Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), where he oversees the IMF's policy development and research efforts. Lipton has also served as the IMF's Deputy Managing Director for International and Public Affairs. He has written extensively on economic policy and has been a frequent commentator on global economic issues. Lipton has a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University and has held various positions at the IMF and the Federal Reserve.
