David Nutt

David Nutt is a British professor of psychopharmacology and neuropsychopharmacology. He is known for his work on the effects of drugs on the brain and has written extensively on the topic. Professor Nutt has been a vocal critic of the war on drugs and has advocated for a more evidence-based approach to drug policy. He has also been a consultant to the British government on drug policy. Professor Nutt has received several awards for his work, including the 2010 Prince of Asturias Award for Scientific Research. He is also a fellow of the Royal Society and has been elected as a member of the European Academy of Sciences.
