David Whitmer

David Whitmer was an American farmer and businessman who was one of the Three Witnesses of the Book of Mormon. He was born in 1805 in Sharon, Vermont and died in 1888 in Albion, New York. Whitmer was a key figure in the early history of the Latter Day Saint movement and played a significant role in the publication of the Book of Mormon. He was also a vocal critic of the church's practices and policies, particularly with regards to polygamy and priesthood hierarchy.
