David Crockett was an American politician, soldier, and frontiersman. He served in the Tennessee state legislature, the U.S. House of Representatives, and the U.S. Senate. Crockett was a skilled hunter and soldier, and played a key role in the Battle of the Alamo during the Texas Revolution. He was a popular figure in the early 19th century, known for his folksy charm and his advocacy for the common man.
