Nobel Peace Prize winner and Anglican cleric
Desmond Tutu was a South African Anglican cleric and activist who became a prominent figure in the fight against apartheid. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1984 for his non-violent resistance to apartheid. Tutu was also a prominent advocate for human rights and social justice.
