Dmitry Belyaev

Dmitry Belyaev is a Russian historian and archaeologist who specializes in Mesoamerican studies. He is a candidate of historical sciences and a professor at the Mesoamerican Center of the Yuri V. Knorozov Institute of Archaeology of the RGGU. Belyaev is also the director of the archaeological project "Epigraphic Atlas of Peten". He is known for his research on ancient Maya civilization and his work on the decipherment of Maya hieroglyphs.
