Donald Wandrei was an American science fiction and fantasy writer. He is best known for his short stories, particularly 'The Red Brain', which was published in 1927. Wandrei was a member of the Science Fiction Writers of America and was nominated for a Hugo Award. He was also a member of the Authors Guild. Wandrei passed away in 2007. He was born in 1900 in New York City and grew up in Brooklyn. Wandrei's writing style was influenced by his love of science fiction and fantasy. He was a prolific writer and published many short stories and novels. Wandrei's work is still widely read and studied today.
