Dr. Ayşe Çakmak

Dr. Ayşe Çakmak is a Turkish sociologist who has spent her career studying and researching issues of gender violence and femicide. She has written extensively on these topics and has been a vocal advocate for the rights of women and girls. Çakmak has also been involved in various initiatives to support survivors of gender violence and has worked with governments and organizations to develop policies and programs to prevent femicide. She is based in Istanbul, Turkey.
