Dr. Bill Schindler is a food archaeologist, primitive technologist, and chef. He is the director of the Eastern Shore Food Lab and an Associate Professor of Anthropology and Archaeology at Washington College. Dr. Schindler has traveled the world documenting traditional foodways and works to draw inspiration from the deep archaeological record, rich ethnographic record, and modern culinary world to create food solutions that are relevant, meaningful, and accessible. He is a strong advocate of traditional diets and has appeared on several TV shows, including National Geographic's The Great Human Race. Dr. Schindler is also the co-star of Curiosity Stream's The Modern Stone Age Family. He has written several books on food and archaeology and has a strong online presence through his website and social media channels.
