Historian and scholar of Renaissance studies
Dr. Frances Yates was a British historian and scholar of Renaissance studies. She was known for her work on the history of witchcraft and the occult, and was a prominent figure in the field of Renaissance studies. Yates was a professor at the University of Cambridge and wrote several influential books on the subject, including 'The Art of Memory'. She was also a fellow of the Royal Society and was awarded several honors for her contributions to scholarship. Yates was a pioneer in the field of witchcraft studies and paved the way for future generations of scholars. She died in 1998 at the age of 84.
