Dr. John Grotzinger

Dr. John Grotzinger is a geologist and paleontologist who has made significant contributions to the field of plate tectonics and the study of ancient continents. He is a professor of planetary science at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and has published numerous papers on the geology of the Earth's crust. Dr. Grotzinger is also a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the National Academy of Sciences.
