Historian and academic
Dr Laura Tisdall is a British historian and academic who specializes in modern and contemporary history. She is a lecturer at Newcastle University, where she teaches courses on topics such as social and economic history, and the history of protest and activism. Tisdall has published several books on these topics, including a study of the 1979 Kaohsiung protests in Taiwan. She is known for her expertise on the history of social movements and her ability to analyze complex historical events. Tisdall has a Ph.D. in history from the University of Cambridge and has received several awards for her research, including a fellowship from the British Academy.
