Inuit language expert and professor
Dr. Maria Simeonova is a professor of Inuit languages at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. She has a Ph.D. in linguistics from the University of California, Berkeley and has spent many years studying the Inuit languages of Canada and Greenland. Dr. Simeonova is an expert on the grammar and syntax of Inuit languages and has published several papers on the subject. She is also a fluent speaker of several Inuit languages and has worked with Inuit communities to develop language education programs. In her free time, Dr. Simeonova enjoys hiking and kayaking. She is based in Fairbanks, Alaska.
