Dr. Marie Curie

Dr. Marie Curie was a Polish-born physicist and chemist who made groundbreaking contributions to our understanding of the universe. She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, and the first person to win two Nobel Prizes in different fields (physics and chemistry). Dr. Curie's work on radioactivity paved the way for major advances in medicine, energy, and materials science. She is widely regarded as one of the most influential scientists of the 20th century. Dr. Curie was born in Warsaw, Poland, and spent most of her life in France, where she conducted her research and taught at the Sorbonne.
