Dr. Mark Plotkin

Dr. Mark Plotkin is an American ethnobotanist, conservationist, and author who has spent his career studying the medicinal and cultural uses of plants around the world. He is the founder of the Amazon Conservation Team and has written extensively on the topic of ethnobotany. Plotkin has also worked with indigenous communities to develop sustainable forest management practices and has received numerous awards for his work. He is based in Seattle, Washington, and can often be found exploring the natural world and sharing his knowledge with his audience.
