Dr. Robert Ballard

Dr. Robert Ballard is a renowned marine geologist and archaeologist who has spent his career exploring the world's oceans and uncovering its secrets. He is best known for his role in discovering the wreckage of the Titanic in 1985. Dr. Ballard has also made significant contributions to the field of underwater archaeology, including the discovery of the ancient city of Thonis-Heraklion in the Mediterranean. He is a professor emeritus at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and has written several books on his adventures and discoveries. Dr. Ballard is a fellow of the National Academy of Sciences and has received numerous awards for his work, including the National Medal of Science.
