Dr. Robert M. Carmack is an American archaeologist and expert on Mesoamerican civilizations, particularly the Mayans and Teotihuacans. He is a professor emeritus at the University of Pennsylvania and has written extensively on the subject of Mesoamerican archaeology. Carmack has also been involved in several excavations and research projects in Mexico and Guatemala.
