Dr. Tatyana Gershkovich

Dr. Tatyana Gershkovich is a Russian-American literary theorist and professor of Slavic studies at the University of Chicago. She specializes in 19th- and early 20th-century Russian literature, particularly the works of Leo Tolstoy, Vladimir Nabokov, and other prominent authors from the Russian literary canon. Dr. Gershkovich has published numerous articles and essays on Russian literature, as well as several books, including her most recent monograph “Art in Doubt: Tolstoy, Nabokov, and the Problem of Other Minds.  She is also a regular contributor to various academic journals and publications. Dr. Gershkovich’s work has been widely recognized for its innovative approach to literary analysis and its contributions to the field of Slavic studies.
