Eddie Plank was a Hall of Fame pitcher who played for the Philadelphia Athletics and St. Louis Browns from 1901 to 1917. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest pitchers in baseball history, known for his dominance on the mound and his impressive record of 236 wins. Plank was a key member of the Athletics' team that won the World Series in 1910 and 1911. He was also a pioneer for the use of the spitball, a pitch that was banned in 1920. Plank was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1939.
