Edith Piaf was a French singer and cabaret performer. She was born on December 19, 1915, in Belleville, Paris, France, to a poor family. Piaf began her music career in the 1930s, singing in cabarets and bars, and eventually became one of the most popular and iconic singers of the 20th century. She was known for her powerful, emotive voice and her hit songs like "La Vie En Rose" and "Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien". Piaf was also a talented actress and appeared in films like "La Vie En Rose" and "Moulin Rouge!". She was awarded numerous honors, including a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Piaf passed away on October 10, 1963, at the age of 47.
