Russian footballer and politician
Eduard Streltsov was a Russian footballer and politician. He played for the Soviet Union national team and was known as the 'Russian Pele'. Streltsov was a prominent figure in Soviet football and was accused of treason in the 1960s. He was convicted and served time in the Gulag. After his release, Streltsov continued to play football and became a politician. He was a member of the Soviet Union's Supreme Soviet and was known for his charismatic personality.
